This week’s adoptable pets are Halo and Journey.
For adoption through PAWS:
Halo is an 18-month-old shorthaired white-with-tabby-splotches female.
She has lived with dogs and a toddler and done well. She does not seem that fond of the other cats.
Halo has been indoor only since arriving from Ocean Shores where she was surrendered when her person moved.
You can meet Halo at the PAWS Pleasant Beach adoption center, open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
For adoption through Kitsap Humane Society:
Meet Journey! She is a bulldog/hound mix who is about 2 years old.
She is currently spending time in a foster home and her foster mom reports that Journey is an excellent snuggle buddy! Her favorite thing is lounging on the couch with her head in your lap.
This sweet girl loves to explore, and would make a great hiking buddy for an active owner. Journey loves to play and her favorite toy is a spiky rubber ball that she will chase and chew on. She also loves food puzzles and is very smart and good at using her nose to find her treats. She is even learning commands like “stay” and “down” and she already knows “sit.”
Journey has lots of energy, so would love a secure, fenced yard where she can have supervised playtime. Journey is looking for a home (no apartments for this girl) with no children under the age of 10 and without cats, as they can be just too fun to chase.
If you would like to meet her, e-mail Samantha at sfairweather@kitsap-humane.org to request an adoption application.
