Arts & Humanities Bainbridge will celebrate island artists at its annual “Illumination Gala” dinner and auction on Saturday, March 26 at Kiana Lodge.
The festive and elegant fundraiser promises an evening of fun and top-notch entertainment with visual and performing artists in the spotlight, including mimes and jugglers and a dance recital by students from the Olympic Performance Group.
A brief program will features this year’s Island Treasure and Amy Award winners, followed by dancing and a live auction offering exciting packages and experiences.
“The Illumination Gala is a premiere event to honor our island cultural community,” said Anne Smart, Arts & Humanities Bainbridge co-executive director.
“This is our chance to really ‘shine a light’ on the many artists who brighten our lives throughout the year with their talent, creativity and vision,” she said.
Proceeds from the event benefit Arts & Humanities Bainbridge and its many programs in support of island artists and cultural enrichment.
Popular programs include K-12 Arts in Education, the Celluloid Bainbridge Film Festival, the Bainbridge In Bloom garden tour, Bainbridge Island’s Poetry Corners celebration as part of National Poetry Month, Currents Magazine and the Bainbridge Public Art program, among others.
