Twelve runners from The Island School turned out for the 2016 Seattle Kids’ Marathon on Saturday, Nov. 26. Cold and rain couldn’t stop them, and everybody finished with a smile.

Students from kindergarten through fifth grade participated, including Liam Flitter, Naomi Baker, Andrew Domansky, Noah Shaw, Ella Baker, Bobby Coulter, Emily Miller, Will Connolly, Owen Glynn, Alex Hegstad, Nina Chang-Lee and Margaret Coulter.

In the weeks leading up to the event, the wee runners logged 25 miles each. They ran the final 1.2 miles on Marathon Day.
