Three new exhibitions will be on display at the downtown Winslow gallery Bainbridge Arts & Crafts starting Friday, Jan. 2.
First, Karin Schminke’s “Shadows and Reflections” highlights the artist’s abstract work, which draws from light and shadow, image and reflection, nature and illusion.
A entirely new show for BAC, this is a stunning series of intricate cut wood screens.
There will be a special artist reception event from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2 during the First Friday Art Walk.
Next, BAC will showcase Jason Russell’s “Elegant Clay.”
With their elemental shapes and elegant markings, Russell’s ceramic vessels work to encapsulate earth, sea, and sky.
Finally, “A Room with a View: Paintings, Prints, Drawings” will bring together four artists whose work, the gallery curators insist, deserve a closer look. This show features the work of Scott Allen, Erica Applewhite, Kathy Francis and Elizabeth Reed Smith.
