The final shows of Ovation! Musical Theatre Bainbridge’s latest production “Peter Pan,” staring Myriah Riedel, Matty McCaslin and Lydia Olson, are this weekend.

Performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19 and Saturday, Dec. 20 with a finale matinee at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21.

The show is produced at the Bainbridge High School theater (9330 NE High School Road).

Though the high-flying adventure is often what intrigues a younger audience at first, Ron Milton, an Ovation! founder and the production’s director, set designer and carpenter, said that there are deeper things at work in the popular musical’s story that has kept audiences coming back for generations.

“It’s not about the flying, it’s not about the magic in it,” Milton said. “It’s about reminding people how wonderful it is to be alive and to take a breath and reestablishing relationships.”
