The prize winning Bainbridge Island Historical Museum is free on the first Thursday of each month.
Featured are “Whales in Our Midst” chronicling Orca whales in Puget Sound; “The Overland Westerners,” an epic 20,000-mile trip by horseback 100 years ago; and “A Portrait of Manzanar,” by world famous photographer Ansel Adams.
The museum is at 215 Ericksen Ave. and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
