Two new exhibits are coming to Bainbridge Arts & Crafts in July.

“Here and There” will showcase the art of Claudia McKinstry, and “So Close So Far” features Brian Watson.

An artists’ reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on First Friday, July 1.

McKinstry calls her paintings “a visual story, about what we see every day and either ignore or take for granted.” This exhibition misses nothing, encompassing not just technical mastery but an expansive worldview, a fascination with travel, and an abiding love for her own backyard.

With warmth and a deep sense of history, Watson, a wood sculptor, presents a large and exquisite family of vessels carved from a single apple tree that was planted on the shores of Hood Canal decades ago.
