Debra Prinzing, a noted Seattle garden writer and author, will give a talk about her most recent book, “The 50-Mile Bouquet,” this weekend at Bloedel Reserve.

Prinzing will speak at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 22. “The 50-Mile Bouquet” tells the stories of an increasing number of American flower farmers, floral designers, wedding planners and farmers market vendors who have a passion for growing, selling and using sustainably grown flowers, and why everyone should share their passion. The book is gorgeously illustrated by award-winning photographer David Perry.

Prinzing has authored five books, including “The Abundant Garden” (with Bainbridge Island photography by Barbara Denk), and “Stylish Sheds and Elegant Hideaways.” She writes for numerous publications including Fine Gardening, Garden Design, Women’s Day, Seattle Homes & Lifestyles and Sunset.
