The Olympic College Jazz Band will make a special appearance at the Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island dinner meeting at the Wing Point Country Club later this month.
The performance is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, and Rotary members say the extremely rare appearance is open to the public.
The jazz program at Olympic College is one of the first in the nation. Many well-known musicians have passed through the program including, Quincy Jones, Kenny G and Rufus Reid, to name just a few.
This unique dinner meeting includes a sizzling jazz set by the Olympic College Jazz Band under the direction of Rick White. There is a charge and reservations are required due to limited public seating.
