Beloved Bainbridge Island gypsy jazz masters Ranger and the Re-Arrangers will perform a special free concert, with special guest Kevin Connor, at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art.
Connor is a member of gypsy jazz ensemble Hot Club Sandwich. His arrangements can be heard on all five of the group’s albums, and his composition “Gaucho” was featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered.”
He also leads the SuperSones, a Cuban septet.
The concert will feature music from Ranger and the Re-Arrangers’ repertoire of swing standards and traditional gypsy melodies.
