The lawn at Bainbridge Performing Arts will be filled with the sounds of Gypsy jazz when Ranger and the “Re-Arrangers” host a concert featuring guitarist Patrick Brooks next week.
The show is 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1.
Brooks grew up in Seattle, studying classical and jazz guitar from grade school through college. He has been playing Django’s music ever since discovering Seattle’s vibrant gypsy jazz scene and is a member of Silk Road Swing.
The concert will feature music from Ranger and the “Re-Arrangers” repertoire of swing standards and traditional Gypsy melodies.
Admission is free, and the band will collect donations.
