Resident artist Barbara Cooper will host a workshop about patterns in nature on Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Bloedel Reserve.

Cooper will discuss branching systems and growth patterns, lead a walk to collect fallen leaves and other materials and help participants make their own inspired drawings or rubbings.

Children 9 years and older are encouraged to sign up with an adult.

The workshop will take place from noon to 2 p.m. at the Bloedel Reserve residence.
