Cubs from Bainbridge Island Pack 4496 enjoyed the thrill of victory — and the agony of defeat — earlier this month as the pack hosted its annual Pinewood Derby.
Led by Scoutmaster Carson Cole, the Cub Scouts took turns racing their hand-crafted speedsters down the track on Saturday, March 4.
Many of the cars were worked on at the wood shop at Bainbridge High School with the help of volunteers from BARN.
Wolf Cub James Grossman, 7, won first place overall for the fastest car.
Porter Daniels, 10, was second, and Blake Watson, 7, was right behind as the third-place winner.
After the races, the pack donated leftover food to a local food bank.
