Seattle author David Williams will talk about his new book “Too High and Too Steep: Reshaping Seattle’s Topography” at Eagle Harbor Book Company at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15.
Williams draws from a deep personal knowledge of Seattle, his scientific background and extensive research to illuminate the physical challenges and sometimes startling hubris of the large-scale transformations that took place throughout the city’s history, from the filling in of the Duwamish tideflats to the massive regrading project that pared down Denny Hill.
