A free scherenschnitte workshop is 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11 at the Bainbridge Public Library.

Make something special for your valentine. Join artist Margret Darrah to learn the basics of scherenschnitte, or “scissor cuts” in German. This style of paper cutting is popular in silhouette-style, fairy tale illustrations. Create a beautiful piece of your own to take home.
