Bainbridge Island Museum of Art will present three special events in their Eye On Artist lecture series featuring the creators of the numerous works included in the “Twelve Years in the Woods / Arts Studio Gallery” exhibition, on view in the Rachel Feferman & Beacon Galleries through March 9.

“Twelve Years in the Woods” is a group exhibition featuring the works of 26 artists, predominately from Bainbridge Island, many who had solo exhibitions in Arts Studio Gallery. Artworks include photography, printmaking, painting, ceramics, glass, wood and mixed media sculpture.

Arts Studio Gallery began in 2002 as an alternative gallery and studio space designed to be “off the beaten path.” Founder Art Grice and friends converted an old barn on Bainbridge into a gallery and have featured numerous solo and group shows, as well as live performances in this nontraditional venue.

Lecture events will be organized by the artist’s medium:

Paint and print artists: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27.;

Photographers: 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 1; and

Sculptors: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 6.

Participating artists include Karen Cornell, Sophie Frieda, Raymond Gendreau, Gregory Glynn, Mark Lovejoy, Janet Neuhauser and many more.

Tickets are on sale now for each event and can be purchased at www.biartmuseum.org.

The cost is $10 for adults, $7 for students. Admission includes the lecture and reception.
