Get ready for bursting blossoms.
For the 27th year in a row, Arts & Humanities Bainbridge will offer its Bainbridge in Bloom garden tour on July 10-11.
This premiere Pacific Northwest garden tour features six private gardens rich in interesting textures, colors and shapes, with rare cultivars, unique uses of familiar species, and generous vegetable gardens.
Garden locations for the self-drive event remain secret until the first day of the tour, but garden names provide a hint of what is to come: Vintage Romance, Flowers for All, Mastery in the Garden, Splendor in Terracing, Balance through Design, Solace for the Family.
Live music provides a pleasing aural backdrop on both days. Master gardeners and helpful docents will also be wandering around the gardens ready to answer questions.
General admission tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for K-12 students; children 5 and under can tag along for free. Tickets and information are available at www.AHBainbridge.org, www.BrownPaperTickets.com and by phone at 206-842-7901.
To purchase tickets in person, stop by Bainbridge Gardens and Bay Hay & Feed have where adult general admission tickets are on sale.
The Bloom Hub and box office at the Filipino-American Community Hall on High School Road opens both days at 8:30 a.m. Gardens are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets will be available for purchase during the tour.
Information can be found at Ahbainbridge.org and the Bainbridge in Bloom Facebook page.
