Bainbridge Performing Arts has announced its 2009-2010 mainstage season. From flying highs to desperate lows, there’s something for everyone.
October brings “The Producers,” in which Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom set out to make a Broadway flop and in the process, a killing. Based on Mel Brooks’ 1968 film, the Broadway production went on to win a record 12 Tony Awards. Teresa Thuman will direct at BPA.
Holiday magic hits the rafters with “Peter Pan,” a special collaboration with Bainbridge Dance Center, directed by Steven Fogell and Lee Ann Hittenberger.
Kate Carruthers will helm “The Grapes of Wrath” in March, based on the classic John Steinbeck novel of the same name.
And next May, Corey McDaniel will direct “Man of La Mancha,” based on Miguel de Cervantes’ tale of Don Quixote.
Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra concerts are set for November, February and April, with programs to be announced.
