The first weekend of spring on Bainbridge Island should be a little soggy.
That’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Seattle.
The more-of-the-same scenario starts Friday night with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Bad weather? Hail, yes! Forecasters note Friday night’s storms may bring a bit of hail.
Saturday will arrive with mostly cloudy skies and a 40 percent chance of showers. The high temperature is expected to top out near 52 degrees, with breezy winds from the south-southwest between 6 to 11 mph.
The low on Saturday night is expected to drop to around 39.
On Sunday, more rain is likely, mainly after 11 a.m. The chance of precipitation stands at 60 percent, and up to a quarter of an inch of rain may fall.
It will stay mostly cloudy, with a high near 50.
The chance of showers will drop to 50 percent Sunday night.
Next week is also shaping up to be a wet one. The extended forecast calls for showers Monday through Thursday.
