Grab your sweetheart (or just a friend) and visit all seven Bainbridge Island wineries to celebrate Valentine’s Day with wine and chocolates aplenty. “Wine on the Rock: Wine and Chocolate” will be a unique Valentine’s wine tasting event on Bainbridge from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 and Sunday, Feb. 12.

This, the third “Wine on the Rock” wine tasting event from the Winery Alliance of Bainbridge Island Wine, is expected to be the biggest yet with most attendees visiting from off the island, officials said.

“We’ve had Valentine’s Day wine tastings in the past, but nothing to this magnitude. We expect this to be our biggest event of the year,” said Cristina McGinnis Widman, sales and marketing manager at Bainbridge Vineyards.

Tickets are $40 each ($60 to utilize the optional shuttle service) and are good for both days and one visit to each winery. Included with admission is a special event wine glass, a tasting at each of the seven wineries or tasting rooms, local chocolates to complement the wine tasting and a six-bottle wine tote.
