Bainbridge Arts & Crafts will offer artwork by Merrilee Moore and “Women in the Abstract” through Nov. 24. The exhibitions begin with an opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 1 during the First Friday Art Walk.
Moore, a glass artist, forms each of her pieces with a bold, impeccable flourish. Her shapes are confident, her variety of colors is endless, and every item energetically punctuates the space it occupies.
Form, shape, color and texture can challenge and mesmerize when freed from the anchor of representation. In “Women in the Abstract,” a powerhouse group of women artists invites all to revel in a profusion of abstraction.
Artists include Carole Barrer, Marilyn Bergstrom, Caroline Cooley Browne, Leah Clark, Marcella Diamond, Kate Dwyer, Jeannie Grisham, Victoria Harrison, Barbara Kowalski, Suzy Kueckelhan, Kari Bergstrom MacKenzie, Elizabeth Moga, Jeane Myers, MJ Orcutt, Joan Stuart Ross, Lynda Rickey, Selene Santucci, Barbara Lee Smith, Sharon Strauss, Diane Walker, Helga Winter, Cathy Woo and Barbara Zander.
Bainbridge Arts & Crafts is located at 151 Winslow Way East.
