Twenty-one people in Washington state have now died from the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19), according to the Washington State Department of Health.
Cases due to COVID-19 have been confirmed in seven counties: Kitsap, King, Snohomish, Grant, Jefferson, Pierce and Clark counties.
State health officials said 20 of those who died have been in King County. One death had been reported in Snohomish County.
The total number of positive cases of COVID-19 now stands at 162 in Washington, as of Monday afternoon.
