Technical difficulties and a high volume of tests has been the cause of delays in reporting the latest coronavirus numbers at the local level, but the Kitsap Public Health District announced a few more COVID-19 cases Thursday morning.
Kitsap County now has three more positive COVID-19 cases to bring the total to 77, as of 8:45 a.m. April 2. Two of them are in South Kitsap and one is in North Kitsap.
A total of 1,591 residents have been tested and 1,514 have come back negative, for a 4.8 percent positive rate.
No deaths have been reported.
Of the 77 cases in Kitsap, 23 are in South Kitsap, 19 are in North Kitsap, 14 are in Bremerton, 12 are in Central Kitsap, and nine are on Bainbridge Island.
