Maintenance crews working for the state Department of Transportation have scheduled three additional nights to perform expansion-joint maintenance and to repair an asphalt bridge approach to the Agate Pass Bridge.
The work is planned during night hours over the next two weeks in order to minimize travel delays, transportation officials said.
Agate Pass Bridge will be reduced to one-way alternating traffic on the following dates:
• 10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6;
• 10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10 to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11; and
• 10 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12.
Daytime lane closures will be required during annual bridge cleaning. That typically occurs in February. The work requires daylight to use under-bridge inspection trucks and conducts a detailed inspection. WSDOT will announce the annual cleaning as it is scheduled.
