The annual cleanup and inspection work on the Agate Pass Bridge has finished a day ahead of schedule.
The Washington State Department of Transportation fully reopened the bridge to traffic Thursday afternoon.
One-lane of the two-lane bridge over Agate Passage has been closed in recent weeks for the annual work. The project had been scheduled to continue through Friday, March 1.
WSDOT thanked drivers who planned their trips to help avoid delays.
State officials also said crews are expected to return this spring to begin a two-year effort to repaint the Highway 305 bridge that links Bainbridge Island to the Kitsap Peninsula.
WSDOT will announce construction-related information about the work when it is scheduled.
