Inspection and maintenance on the Agate Pass Bridge next week will force commuting delays for drivers because of one-way alternating traffic.
According to the Department of Transportation, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 22-26 travelers approaching the bridge can expect delays of 30 minutes or more during peak travel times. The work requires daylight to allow crews to conduct the inspection safely.
WSDOT advises commuters to:
- Add extra travel time to help prevent delays
- Consider postponing discretionary trips
- Travel early in the morning or later at night
Flaggers will alternate travelers through the area. Law enforcement officers will direct traffic at the intersection of Highway 305 and Suquamish Way.
