Hannah Anunson gets to wear an alligator as a hat after the close of the performance of the Reptile Man (zoologist and educator Scott Petersen) Monday at Battle Point Park.

Petersen brought plenty of cold-blooded friends (snakes, lizards, Lucy the alligator and more) from his reptile zoo in Monroe for the show, the kickoff event for Monday Fundays, a summertime program presented by the Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Recreation District.

The show was a huge hit, with well more than 150 kids and parents crowding the grounds at Battle Point Park.
