FRIDAY, MARCH 8
2:03 p.m. A 52-year-old Bainbridge Island woman reported her car tires, as well as those of an associate who wished not to be named, had been flattened by drywall screws in what she believed to be the latest incident in an ongoing problem the two were having with another woman, 64, also of Bainbridge.
Police noted the case was similar to a separate incident involving a third victim.
Police documented the incident and a report was filed.
SATURDAY, MARCH 9
4:35 p.m. Police were called to a home on Cherry Avenue to dispatch a wounded deer.
The homeowner said the deer had spooked and panicked when he let his dogs out, jumping face-first into his fence in an attempt to flee.
Police said the animal was wounded, with a likely broken neck and was obviously suffering.
It was put down, and the homeowner was given the contact information of an island wildlife rescue which will use the carcass as food for their predatory birds.
