WEDNESDAY, FEB. 5
2:51 p.m. A 57-year-old island woman called police to report a car prowl that occurred at her residence on Jan. 18.
The woman said that there had been a lot of car prowls lately, and so she wanted to report what had happened to her.
Sometime between Jan. 18 and 19, she said, an unknown person stole items from her vehicle, a Subaru Outback, which was unlocked. The thief took two pairs of sunglasses and a purse strap.
There are no suspects.
FRIDAY, FEB. 7
4:39 p.m. A 58-year-old Bainbridge Island man called police to report someone had stolen his traffic cone.
The man told police a 3-foot tall, lime-green traffic cone, weighing about 10 pounds, had been taken from near the end of his driveway sometime between 2:30 and 4:15 p.m.
He said the cone cost about $40.
There are no suspects.
A report was filed.
