The man said he intervened when the brother-in-law began swearing at his wife and pushing her around. He said his brother-in-law then tackled him and punched him, and broke his glasses.

The brother-in-law’s version of events was similar, but placed the other man as the instigator of the violence. He said he never attacked the man, but said he tried to get away after he was pushed around.

The wife said that both brothers were equally combative and they have never gotten along during the 30 years she’s been married to her husband.

Police determined that both men were aggressors and forwarded a report to prosecutors for review.
