SATURDAY, JULY 1

3:38 p.m. A 33-year-old Bainbridge Island woman reported she’d been continually harassed by her ex-husband via Facebook text messages.

The man claimed she owed him $7,000 for her engagement ring, which she said she no longer possessed. He has been threatening, she said, to “out” her as a drug addict if she did not give him the money. The woman said she did have a substance abuse problem, but has been clean for some time.

The woman said she fears her ex might escalate things, and police advised her to seek a no-contact order.
