Bainbridge blotter | Family dispute

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

SUNDAY, NOV. 11

1:36 p.m. Police were informed of a verbal dispute between two women, 57 and 71, both of Bainbridge Island.

The younger woman was sitting in her car, which was parked near Bainbridge High School, while she waited to pick up her daughter. An older man came over, she said, who began screaming at her to move her car. She said she would move when she picked up her daughter, and the man opened her door and began screaming and shaking his finger at her. She again said she would move after she picked up her daughter.

The man left, but a woman soon came over. The driver asked the older woman what was going on, why the man was so mad at her, and the other woman said that her husband had Alzheimer’s and the younger woman needed to grow up.

The woman waiting for her daughter called 911 during the altercation and arranged to meet an officer at the police station to report the incident.
