Monday, July 21

8:46 a.m. Tools were discovered missing out of a construction site shed.

The door lock had been removed and several hundreds of dollars worth of items were taken. These included a Dewalt chop saw valued at $600; a Dewalt jigsaw valued at $370; two jackstands for a ladder valued at $200; and air gun attachments valued at $200.

Saturday, July 26

1:37 a.m. A Seattle man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he was found at the Bainbridge Ferry Terminal bleeding heavily from his arm and cursing at passerby.

Police reported that the man smelled heavily of alcohol, had difficulty maintaining his balance and was slurring his speech. It was also reported that his eyes were very dilated and that his mood swung wildly between cooperative and friendly to totally uncooperative and aggressive.

After contacting the taxi service who dropped the man off at the terminal, officers were able to get in contact with one of the man’s friends who traveled in the taxi with him. The friend told police that when they had arrived at the terminal, the man began swinging around a golf club.

A ferry employee approached them, and told the man to stop. The friend lost track of him after the encounter, and then boarded the ferry without him. The friend told police that the man had a bag of golf clubs with him.

Officers found the bag about 25 feet away from a parked car that had a broken out back hatch window. Below the window was a fresh dent. Blood was also found on the car and on the asphalt just to the left of the vehicle. Meanwhile, the man was covered in blood from his right shoulder to his hand. Medics found he had a large puncture wound on his tricep and smaller puncture on his forearm.

He refused medical aid, however, and continued to yell profanities and be uncooperative. Officers were finally able to get the man on a gurney.
