Thursday, June 26

9:45 a.m. Police received a report that someone has been trying to register a boat that was stolen 14 to 15 years ago from a Bainbridge resident.

The resident reported an aluminum-sided rowboat stolen sometime between 1998 and 2000. Now someone in Oregon was attempting to register the rowboat but the title is still under the name of the Bainbridge resident.

Oregon’s Department of Licensing advised the resident he would need to provide a police report to prove the item had been stolen.

Bainbridge police, however, are not required to keep reports past seven years. The report is no longer in the system.

Friday, June 27

9:45 a.m. A 17-horsepower field mower was taken from a private residence. The owner, who is in the process of moving, was storing the mower at a neighbor’s house.

It was last seen June 25, but by June 27 the owner realized it was missing. The mower is red and was valued between $2,500 and $3,000.

Saturday, June 28

9:56 a.m. Two prescription bottles were stolen from an apartment near High School Road.

The tenant said she had left her apartment in a hurry and was unsure if she had left the door unlocked.

When she returned, she found her prescription medication missing, which included 20 pills of Oxycodone and 30 pills of Meloxicam. Officers found no evidence of forced entry.
