Saturday, April 21
7:53 p.m. A dispute broke out between family members at a home on Shannon Drive. A man came to check on the house that his mother owned. His son had been fixing the place up over the past week. But when the father arrived, he found that his son’s girlfriend had also been staying there.
The father insisted that she leave. But when the son got out his phone to call the homeowner, his grandmother, a tussle broke out with his father as he tried to knock the phone out of the son’s hands. In the end, the son was knocked over the porch and into a flower bed. He was not injured.
The father decided to pay for a hotel room for the night for his son and his girlfriend, and said the two could solve the matter at a later time.
9:54 p.m. Police discovered a vehicle in a ditch along Lynwood Center Road. The driver appeared intoxicated and was unable to pass roadside sobriety tests. The driver also took a breath test, which registered a blood alcohol level of .115. The driver was placed under arrest for DUI.
Sunday, April 22
9:56 a.m. A resident on Eagle Harbor Drive discovered his mailbox had been damaged over night. Someone covered the mailbox in tomato sauce. Nearby the box was a broken jar of tomato sauce. The resident told police that his mailbox was completely destroyed.
