Friday, Sept. 28

6:10 p.m. Two bicycles on Bjune Drive were reported stolen. One bike was valued at approximately $1,600 and the other at $800.

10:17 p.m. Six individuals were hanging out on the grass of the Meadowmeer Golf Course on Koura Road. Five of the six were visiting from off-island and told police they believed the grassy area was a park.

While on the grass the group was approached by a man with a bat. The man began screaming at them, threatening to “bash their faces in” and that he would get a “killer dog” who would “eat their faces off.”

The group fled and called 911.

Police contacted the man with the bat, who appeared intoxicated. He told police that he thought the group was on his property and asked them to leave. Officers suggested that the man call 911 next time.

10:57 p.m. A car was broken into on High School Road. An iPhone charger was taken.

Saturday, Sept. 29

4:26 a.m. Officers received word from Suquamish police that a woman drove off in a vehicle from a loud party and that she may have been drinking. They ran the plates and found the owner lived on Bainbridge Island. Police went to look for the vehicle, waiting at the Agate Pass Bridge. When the vehicle passed by, police attempted to pull the driver over, but the driver ignored them and continued to drive home all the way to West Port Madison Road. The driver continued to ignore police as she parked in her driveway, but officers eventually got her attention. When asked to perform field sobriety tests, the woman asked for a lawyer. Without asking any more questions, police placed her under arrest for DUI.

While being handcuffed, the woman attempted to struggle and pull away. She then requested a local attorney by name to represent her.

Breath tests taken nearly two hours later indicated that she had a blood alcohol level of .161 and .175. She was arrested and booked for DUI on $2,500 bail.
