Sunday, Feb. 10

11:20 a.m. A teacher at Blakely Elementary School reported receiving a phone call on the school’s line from a man demanding money. The teacher had come in on a Sunday to do some extra work and received an interoffice phone call on the school district’s system. She did not answer, however, a young man disguising his voice and identifying himself as Max Muster demanded money. He left four messages demanding money. The teacher was disturbed by the messages. Police tracked the interoffice call to a building at the high school. The building was discovered unlocked by a janitor earlier that day, but now the room in question was empty. Police told the teacher what they discovered.

12:49 p.m. An 8-foot fiberglass dinghy and its oars were stolen from a home’s bulkhead off Reitan Road. The words “Walker Bay” are painted in blue letters on the rear of the boat.

Monday, Feb. 11

10:28 a.m. A resident on Fletcher Bay Road reported that her mailbox had been left open many times over the past two months and mail has been missing each time. She believes her car tabs had been taken at some point. This time, she reported seeing a white truck in front of her mailbox that quickly drove away as she approached.

2:55 p.m. A locked mailbox was pried open on Lovgreen Road West. Mail was stolen while the resident was away on vacation.

4 p.m. Mail was stolen from a mailbox on Bergman Road that included the resident’s passport.

10:19 p.m. Employees of the Safeway on High School Road reported that a young man left the store with a hand basket filled with unknown merchandise without paying. He was between the age of 19 and 22, wearing a white knit hat, black jacket, tan pants and dark shoes and had a beard.
