FRIDAY, SEPT. 4

9:40 a.m. A 34-year-old man in a 1987 Dodge Ram pickup was heading north on Highway 305 near Agatewood Road when he drove over the fog line, over the shoulder of the road and then into the drainage ditch.

He was cited for inattentive driving and for operating a vehicle without a license.

12:50 p.m. A 56-year-old Bainbridge woman said her identity had been fraudulently used to get a credit card through Chase Bank.

She discovered the fraud when two credit cards arrived in the mail; one had her name on it, and the other had a name she did not recognize.

The stranger’s name was found to belong to a man in Claymont, Delaware.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 1

2:14 p.m. A woman brought a class ring to the police station she found on Rockaway Beach.

Attempts to locate the owner were unsuccessful. The ring was put in the vault for safekeeping.

TUESDAY, AUG. 25

4 p.m. A 61-year-old Poulsbo woman was hit by a car while walking in Winslow.

The woman was waiting for a vehicle that was backing out of an alley. When the vehicle stopped in the crosswalk, the pedestrian thought the vehicle was not going to back out further and continued through the crosswalk.

The driver then continued to back up and hit the pedestrian. The driver then drove away.

The driver was described an as elderly woman with glasses and sandy gray hair.
