Thursday, April 26

11:32 a.m. A car on Eaglecliff Road was broken into overnight.

The owner of the car noticed from her kitchen window that the car door was open that morning. Upon further investigation, she found the glove box open and its contents were strewn over the front seat. Nothing was taken.

3:26 p.m. A car was broken into on Kings Place. The owner reported that her wallet and sunglasses were stolen. She later found the wallet in her neighbor’s yard, but her credit cards had been removed.

Saturday, April 28

1:43 p.m. An employee at an electronics store on High School Road reported that a laptop was stolen from the front counter of the store. The employee was intending to repair the laptop.

3:23 p.m. A resident on White Place reported that the license plate to his vehicle was stolen sometime overnight. The same resident had reported to police that his vehicle has been broken into two nights ago and his iPod was stolen.

Tuesday, May 1

9:23 a.m. Graffiti was discovered at Battle Point Park on the wall of the observatory and at the playground. The tone and message of the graffiti was hostile to the Bainbridge Island Police Department.

Damage from the graffiti is estimated at $300.

Wednesday, May 2

11:19 p.m. A contractor was cleaning out gutters at a residence on New Holland Court and fell approximately 8 feet. Police and an aid crew were called to the scene.

Sunday, May 6

7:20 p.m. A roofer reported to police that he was pushed off a roof by his coworker.

The two men were working at a job site on Pleasant Place when the roofer failed to hand his coworker a piece of material. His coworker became enraged and pushed him off the roof. He fell approximately 15 feet to the ground, where he landed on his back. The roofer did not seek medical help, but was experiencing back and head pain. He did not want the police to contact his coworker, but he wanted to document the incident in case his pain got worse.
