Bainbridge blotter | So embarrassing

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

THURSDAY, APRIL 16

10:45 p.m. A 52-year-old Bainbridge woman said she had gotten three emails threatening to post embarrassing photos to all of her friends if they weren’t given $1,900 in a Bitcoin account.

Police told her it was a scam.

SUNDAY, APRIL 19

1:39 p.m. A 48-year-old Bainbridge woman said someone entered her 2003 Honda Pilot while it was parked on Madrona Way NE and took items, including a pair of Nike soccer cleats valued at $60 and a Patagonia rain jacket worth $120.

2:30 p.m. A 40-year-old Bainbridge woman said a package from Nordstrom was stolen from her mailbox.

She said an app notified her that her package had been delivered, but when she went to her mailbox, her mailbox and two others were wide open.

She found what looked like recycling in her yard waste bin and discovered it was advertising-type mail that had been sent to her and a neighbor, as well as businesses on Madison Avenue and Parfitt Way.

Two other packages were also found torn open and discarded, minus the contents, that had Madison Avenue and Parfitt Way addresses.
