5:45 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a Labor and Industries injury on the south end of the island. While en route, dispatchers advised that the injured man was being taken by ambulance to the fire station to be prepared for a helicopter transport to the hospital. Medics advised that when they arrived on the scene the man was disoriented. He could not tell them what had happened, what day it was or the time. The man told officers he had tripped or fallen off the sidewalk curb, but said he was really unsure of what happened. His right ankle was either severely sprained or broken. Medics were also concerned about his level of disorientation. They thought he may have hit his head when he fell. Officers returned to the scene of the fall and spoke to employees of the moving company where the male worked. No one saw what had happened. They found him lying on the sidewalk of the residence, conscious, but moaning from pain.
