WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4
7:18 p.m. A 37-year-old transient became ill while walking near the police station.
An officer saw the man suddenly stop walking and slump to the ground. The man could not stand, had no coordination, and his eyes were spiraling in their sockets independent of each other. His pupils were also widely dilated and he could not focus on police when they came to his aid.
A unit from the Bainbridge Island Fire Department was called and the man was examined. They said it was most likely he had simply consumed a large amount of alcohol. He was transported to the hospital.
A ticket for the Bremerton ferry was found in the man’s pocket.
