The Bainbridge Island City Council has reappointed Alan Grainger and appointed Mark Epstein to the Design Review Board.
The city received five applications for the two available positions.
Mayor Steve Bonkowski recommended Grainger to Position 5 on the board and Epstein to Position 4 this week.
Epstein served as chairman of the Non-motorized Transportation Advisory Committee from 2003 to 2005.
He has more than 20 years of experience in landscape architecture in a variety of projects, from health care facilities, schools and churches to urban transportation, parks and recreation, environmental and commercial work.
Grainger currently serves as a member and vice chairman of the Design Review Board. He has 40 years of experience in architecture. Grainger founded his own firm in 1986 that has since grown to employ 110 staff, architects and designers.
Grainger’s term will run until June 30, 2016.
Epstein’s term will expire June 30, 2015.
