Bainbridge city council renews contract for juvenile detention services

The Bainbridge Island City Council voted to renew a contract for the city’s juvenile detention services.

The Bainbridge Island City Council voted to renew a contract for the city’s juvenile detention services.

The contract with Kitsap County allows the city access to the county’s juvenile detention facility. The county will continue to house underage islanders who commit crimes.

The contract for $10,000 is based on a charge of $80 per bed per night, and the agreement will run through Dec. 31, 2015.
