The Bainbridge Island City Council has appointed two members to the city’s Design Review Board: Russ Hamlet and Mark Levine.
Hamlet is a current member of the board and was granted another term.
In his original volunteer application, he cited his career as an architect, which includes starting his own architectural business on Bainbridge Island, as qualifications to sit on the board.
Levine is a former chairman of the Seattle Arts Commission under mayors Wes Uhlman and Charles Royer. Now retired on Bainbridge Island, his career spans time in the wine scene as well as owning an interior design company.
Composed of volunteers, the Design Review Board advises the Planning Commission and the city’s planning department.
