The Bainbridge Island City Council will schedule the final public hearing to approve the Shoreline Master Program during this week’s meeting.
Following an hour-long presentation on the required changes to the SMP, council members will also discuss any final actions for the latest draft before it goes to its last public hearing.
Officials from the Department of Ecology will present required changes to the aquaculture section in the draft SMP at 6 p.m. Monday, March 24 in city hall.
The meeting will be conducted in a traditional study session format, with a staff intensive discussion followed by public comment.
Monday’s regular council meeting will begin immediately afterward at 7 p.m.
The council will discuss the next steps for approving the SMP during the “unfinished business” portion of the council agenda.
