A Bainbridge Island driver escaped injury after she crashed her Lexus RX 300 sedan into the front of a downtown Winslow antique store Wednesday.
The accident occurred just before noon Dec. 14.
Details were initially sparse. The car apparently went over a parking curb and smashed through a front door and window display at Meli Melo Island Vintage Boutique on Bjune Drive Southeast.
The boutique was open at the time, but no one in the store was hurt.
Bainbridge police and fire units responded to the scene, and an officer was interviewing the driver after the crash.
