Saturday, March 24

9:25 a.m. A tenant at a business on Ericksen Avenue reported that building’s the landlord had assaulted her.

The tenant and the landlord had a dispute over how much access the landlord should have to the business, including areas where customer records were kept. The landlord became angry when speaking with the tenant as they were testing their keys in the doors. When the landlord’s key did not work in the business’ door, the tenant said he became angry and his hands began to shake. He then allegedly grabbed her by the arms and moved her from the door. Witnesses confirmed this.

Police contacted the landlord who denied the incident. He said that the tenant did not have the right to change locks on the door.

A report was sent to the Kitsap County Prosecutor’s Office.

11:54 a.m. Police stopped a man for driving 56 mph in a 35 mph speed zone along Lovgreen Road. The driver had a suspended license and was given a ticket for the infraction.

Sunday, March 25

1:33 a.m. Police stopped a driver for speeding on Baker Hill Road. The driver was traveling at 51 mph in a 30 mph speed zone. The driver said that she was speeding because she had to use a restroom. The driver had a suspended license and police issued her a ticket.

9:18 a.m. A woman was playing with her two boxer dogs as they were walking on Barkentine Road. The two dogs began to wrestle. As she attempted to separate them, one of the dogs bit her hand. She required aid for her hand and was taken to the hospital.

Police inspected the dog and noted that it did not appear “vicious or threatening.” Kistap County Animal Control was notified but did not respond to the incident.

11:41 a.m. Someone tagged the bathrooms at Fay Bainbridge Park on Sunrise Drive over the weekend. The graffiti was placed using a permanent marker. It was discovered by the park manager, who told police that he checked the bathrooms two days prior and did not see any graffiti at that time. It is estimated that it will cost $40 to cover up the graffiti.
