Monday, March 12
12:58 p.m. A woman was walking her two dogs on Mandus Olsen Road when one of her canines managed to get free from its leash. It ran up to another woman walking her dog and barked at her.
When the woman caught up to her dog and attempted to reconnect the leash, the second woman walked by and shoulder-checked her before getting in her face and cursing at her. The woman pushed the cursing woman away from her and asked her to stop. The woman continued to curse at her as she walked away.
Wednesday, March 14
1:40 a.m. A drunk driver crashed her car into a home on West Port Madison Road.
The driver, a woman under the age of 21, was visiting a neighbor of the victim when she pulled out of the driveway and crashed her Acura into the victim’s home. The resident helped her out of the car, but she then left the scene and went back to her friend’s home.
Police contacted the woman at the house and brought her back to the scene. They noticed a number of signs of intoxication; the woman thought she was in Suquamish and was unable to say the alphabet after several tries.
The woman was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Later breath tests at the police station registered blood alcohol levels of .170 and .172. The legal limit is .08.
8:46 a.m. A young man parked his car in the lot at Battle Point Park and went running. While he was gone, someone attempted to enter his vehicle by damaging the car door locks.
All locks, included the lock on the trunk, were damaged and the owner’s key could not be used to unlock the vehicle. Luckily, the young man could still enter through his remote access device.
Sunday, March 18
3:28 a.m. Police responded to a domestic dispute on North Town Drive between a romantic couple and another man.
After celebrating the St. Patrick’s Day holiday, two men and a woman went back to the woman’s apartment. One man had already been staying there as a guest.
Though when the woman and the other man became romantically involved, the guest voiced his disapproval and inserted himself in their business. His tone became threatening.
The couple then called 911.
The guest was no longer welcome at the home but was too drunk to drive anywhere, so police drove him to a local hotel.
