Baccalaureate set

Baccalaureate, a long-time tradition for Bainbridge High School graduating seniors, will be held June 5 at 3 p.m. at the LDS Church, 8677 Madison Ave.

The ceremony will include student musical performances, students’ reflections of their high school years and beyond, a faculty keynote speaker chosen by students, prayers, singing and a surprise ending.

Family members of the graduating seniors, as well as others in the community who want to support the students, are invited. The service is sponsored by The Bainbridge Island/North Kitsap Interfaith Council.

Concert changed

The Amabile Choir of Bainbridge spring concerts set for May 20-21 have been canceled due to an illness.

They are rescheduled for June 17-18, both at 7:30 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church. The “Together Again” concert features songs from classical to Broadway to jazz.

BI cross country

A free waffle breakfast will take place at 9 a.m. June 4 at Battle Point Park picnic shelter for anyone interested in cross country at Bainbridge High School.

Coach Anne Lindquist will talk about summer conditioning, hikes, team building, required paperwork, practice and competition schedules, and volunteer opportunities.
